Google Chromebooks Arrive at Ascension!

New Laptops Excite Ascension's Middle School Students!

This year at Ascension, the students in middle school are using brand new laptop computers called "Google Chromebooks".   They bring new a way of learning inside of the classroom, and the computers make the class more interesting and interactive. Last year the students used to have to write out journals each day, but know we type them on a website called “the blogger”. Now most homework assignments and papers for Mr. Kampia’s English class are done on the Chromebooks.

The laptops move much faster than the older computers downstairs in the computer lab which makes it easier for middle school students, and it also saves time. The Chromebooks are also used by the journalism students. Last year the journalism students used the 5 computers in the library. I personally love the new Chromebooks and so do most of the students. I have been hoping that the school would buy new computers since I was in the 6th grade. I am definitely looking forward to the school year with these new Chromebooks!
