The second grade planted tulips for their tulip project. Mrs. Singletary and Mr. Massiah first had to dig trenches for the tulips. The second graders then measured and weighed their tulip bulbs and prepared to plant their bulbs. I am sure that the second graders enjoyed getting their hands dirty during this project. The second grade teacher got her information about the project from www.learner.org/jnorth/tulip/index.html. On this website they track when spring will come across the country. The previous second grade class enjoyed this project also. This is an opportunity to learn more about the plants that are all around us.
